Wisdom of Pooh Tarot

Available Now!

  • A tarot deck in the RWS system with 22 Majors and 56 fully illustrated Minors. The artwork is a culmination of both old and new illustrations based on E.H. Shepard's classic work done for A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh in the 1920's. Kat has really done a beautiful job channeling Shepard for this artwork.

  • The Standard Size deck will be standard tarot size of 2.75 in x 4.75 in (70 mm x 121 mm) printed on 350 GSM linen card stock in a eco-conscious facility. The standard deck will come edged in matte gold in a magnetic enclosure box with a matte finish with gold detailing. Accompanying the deck will be keyword cards with keywords for every card in the deck.

The Mini Deck-in-a-Tin will measure 3.5 in x 2.25 in (89 mm x 57 mm) and be printed on 350 GSM linen card stock. All mini Wisdom of Pooh Decks comes in collectible tin. The mini deck will also come edged in matte gold with gold detailing on the card backs.

  • Wisdom of Pooh Tarot was funded in just seven minutes on Kickstarter! The deck will begin to ship in mid February. Orders will open in February 15, 2024. See the timeline below for more detailed information.

  • On January 1, 2022 Disney lost their copyright to E. H. Shepard & A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh (aka Classic Pooh) when Pooh and related creative works (from 1926 and prior) entered into the public domain. Once a creative work enters the public domain the copyright is null and void and the work becomes available to copy and adapt.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Disney retains the rights to the modern-day Winnie the Pooh character and it's related images (where he dons the little red shirt). Disney's Pooh is not the work of E.H. Shepard or A. A. Milne and is in no way affiliated with Rue & Vervain, LLC.

  • Here's a real peace of Pooh trivia that only diehard fans will know the answer to. Why did we remove Tigger from the previous drafts of the deck? Well, It turns out that Tigger was the very last character to be added to the 100 Acre Woods and therefore didn't begin appearing in Milne's stories until 1928 when he made his debut in The House at Pooh Corner. Milne and Shepards works from 1928 do not enter the Public Domain until 2024. But don't fret! We will be releasing a follow-up deck in 2024 with images we had already created for this deck that had included Tigger. We've already affectionately named the follow-up deck the Wisdom of Pooh & Tigger Too!
